Great Britain used to be the most powerful country. Before them, it had been France, Portugal, Holland, and so on all the way back to Rome.
Things change over time.
China didn't TAKE anything. US corporations GAVE away US jobs so they could make more money with China's cheap labor. And the government didn't intervene.
You know why?
Because that's how capitalism works, son.
No one forced all those manufacturing companies to move the jobs to China.
It was all about money.
