Description

Rehoming a 1 year old female gollie. Dad is a border collie and mom is a golden retriever. She is so smart, energetic, LOVES her balls more than anything, loves people and attention but she is extremely high maintenance and needs more attention than what we can continue to give her. She struggled to learn how to go potty outside bc she chose a spot inside that she wanted to go & would hold it outside and then go right away inside. Eventually she started going outside because I accidentally trained her to go potty only when she plays fetch - for a long time we had to play fetch with her to get her to go potty. Now she’s struggling again bc all she wants to do is play so even fetch isn’t working & there are more accidents again. She doesn’t chew as much anymore on things that she shouldn’t but we also try to keep things put away because it’s still always a possibility - we keep a box of chew bones on the floor that she loves to take out of to chew on instead & that helps. We play fetch with her and take her on walks every day to release her energy but it is never enough. She can jump over our fence and now she is literally breaking the boards on our fence, creating holes to escape. She is not spayed yet- depending on how long it takes to rehome her, she may be spayed before leaving. She is crate trained & sleeps in her crate at night. We love her & have been trying to prevent rehoming but it’s come to a point that we need to try to find her a better home. We are now in a very busy season of life that is not suited for pets, especially one of such high need. She will not go to a shelter or a home that does not have the space or time for her. I want someone to know exactly what they’re getting into before committing to her. Please email with any questions and interest.
