Need help "Getting It Together"? Bring your lunch and join the Roanoke Higher Education Center for a series of lunchtime talks. Free and open to the RHEC community and the general public. January 25, 2023: Understanding Multicultural Communication Speaker: Jordan B. Westcott, MS, NCC Subject: Come learn different ways to communicate about cultural similarities and differences! This talk will provide an overview of different elements of cultural identity and practical approaches for improving cross-cultural communication. Bio: Jordan B. Westcott, MS, NCC, Adjunct Professor & Ph.D. Candidate. Ms. Westcott is a Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education at Virginia Tech. She researches LGBTQIA+ health equity with a developmental perspective, as well as multicultural and social justice approaches in counseling.
