Swing into spring with a bang at the MAIN on March 31st at 7:00pm. This is a LOCALS ONLY show you won’t want to miss featuring Santa Clarita’s very own 18 piece GO Big Jazz band and world traveled duo Gaijin. Be prepared for a night that will blow your mind! Gaijin The Gaijin girls are from opposite sides of the Globe. One from Australia and the other from the UK. The two met in Japan and performed as entertainers for global powerhouse Universal Studios. They formed an instant friendship and sisterhood through their love of singing. Well over a decade later they are now both forging lives for themselves In this Valley performing, creating and sharing their talents with the next generation as they create performing art schools. Their shows are a journey through friendship, love and art…they have stories to tell, music to make and hearts to fill. Go Big Jazz Band Founded by California Alliance for Jazz Hall of Fame member Bob Babko, and directed by trumpeter and educator Brian Leff, this standard big band configuration is anything but standard. Combined with selections from the books of the great bands—Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, etc.—fiery soloists, a charging rhythm section, vocal talents of studio musician Steve Lively, and of course the horns, The GO Jazz Big Band is a local treasure playing at a world-class level.
