Greetings! We are very excited to announce a day filled with trauma informed care workshops and work group opportunities. The Illinois Collaboration on Youth is leading the trainings to address community violence and support community resiliency. This is a Free Event for Professionals with CEUs and lunch provided! This is an in-person event and will not be recorded. This day is sponsored by Winnebago County Trauma Informed Community and the Winnebago County Health Department. Day Schedule 9:30 AM: Check In (Please Register in Advance) 10 AM: Plenary: Community Violence & Trauma Informed Care 11 AM: Small Group Session: Choose 1 of 3 Training Options Trauma Informed De-escalation; This training will present basic de-escalation principles to support individuals to identify and engage in this practice. Additionally, attendees will learn how to apply a trauma informed care lens to minimize re-traumatization while minimizing harm. Impact of Trauma, Understanding the impact of trauma on the development of the brain and learning response strategies to build resilient youth and families.Vicarious Trauma; This training addresses Secondary trauma and its impact on those in caring professions.12 PM: Small Group Session: Choose 1 of 3 Training Options Trauma Informed De-escalation; Impact of Trauma, OR Vicarious Trauma Same Training Descriptions as Above1 PM: Work Groups & Working LunchAttendance required to obtain CEUs Choose 1 Work Group: Collective ImpactPublic Awareness Historical TransgenerationalFundingTrainingHealthcare ProviderHandle With CareEmployment Practices2 PM: Closing Continuing Education Units (CEUs) & Training Certificate Information CEUs are available if individuals register. Attendees will only obtain 1 credit per training, a maximum of 3. Attendees are responsible to sign in to each training or risk their CEU. Attendees will not be granted CEUs for attending the same training topic. Additionally, attendees must attend the Work Group session to obtain their CEUs. Training Certificates are only granted to those who attend the training topic and complete the training evaluation.
