You’re invited to our first wellness event of 2023, Grounded: An Experience to Start Strong, Reflect, and Build Intentionally, Featuring Our Village United’s very own, Dr. Joy Beckwith, Dr.B. Nilaja Green, and Dr. Crystal Jones! Come explore your inner space of mindfulness and align with your new year's resolutions. Attendees of this event will be transformed with guided self-exploration journaling, practices to remove barriers to dream manifestation, and a journey through sound, breath, and presence, Come out to let go and ignite intentions in 2023! Event details: Saturday, January 7, 2023 | 11 am - 1 pm Pittsburgh Yards | Ampitheatre 352 University Ave SW Atlanta, GA 30310 Event Facilitators: Dr. Joy Beckwith | Wellness Champion Dr.B. Nilaja Green | Wellness Champion Dr. Crystal Jones | Spiritual Director A light meal and giveaways will be provided. Be sure to bring your favorite journal, cozy attire, and a mat. Limited Tickets. OUR HOST Our Village United is focused on building strong, resilient communities through the delivery of culturally-competent technical training and business solutions. Founded in 2016 by Dr. Key Hallmon, The Village is mounted on the core belief that by serving the whole business, the entire community prospers economically and holistically. OUR FACILITATORS Dr. Joy Beckwith is a clinical psychologist, television and radio expert, speaker, and college professor. Dr. Joy, as she is affectionately known, is a graduate of Spelman College and Emory University School of Medicine, where she served as the chief clinician for two years. Dr. Joy has been featured and/or served as a guest columnist for a number of magazines such as Essence, Oprah, and Women’s Health, where she writes about mental wellness, healthy relationships, and the mind-body connection. Her longstanding passion for the community, wellness, and mental health has allowed her to make contributions to and appearances on CNN, HLN, A&E’s Intervention, the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Mentoring Camp, and the OWN Network. Dr. B. Nilaja Green. Ph.D. writes, speaks, and engages at the intersections of individual psychological distress and collective sociocultural oppression. As an Atlanta-based Licensed Clinical & Community Psychologist, Dr. Green is certified in trauma-informed care and delivering specialized culturally responsive trauma treatments to vulnerable populations such as military veterans, Black women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community through her private practice, Atlanta Trauma Therapy & Consulting. Known for her intentional ability to command the presence of any room that she is called into, Dr. Crystal Jones is a multimodal atmosphere curator that has supported the transformation of thousands that have crossed her path. She employs her genius to create brave healing space using the intricate subtleties of sound, breathwork, meditation and embodied movement for the purpose of nervous system regulation.
