To recognize this important month, please join us to open the conversation about human trafficking by sharing a lawn sign in your community. Lawn signs will be available at the Child Advocacy Center for FREE pick-up on Monday January 9, 2023. Please stop by to grab a sign and place this important message at your home, work, and place of worship. The Child Advocacy Center may be reached at (803) 644-5100. The South Carolina Human Trafficking Law, S.C. Code Ann. 16-3-2050(B)(1) provides that the Attorney General will chair a task force to address the crime of human trafficking in South Carolina. Task force efforts are in collaboration with federal, state, and local agencies. A major endeavor noted in the law was the development of a plan to address human trafficking. The task force disseminated the South Carolina State Plan to Address Human Trafficking in June of 2014. The law requires that the task force shall coordinate the implementation of the State plan.
