TFE Properties, LLC is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician with prior experience for our community located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The candidate must be well organized, self-motivated and adaptable to changing situations. Must be able to perform all types of maintenance duties for our residents. Valid driver license required, basic computer skills a plus. Full-time position that requires on call rotation. Health benefits offered after 60 days of employment. Equal Opportunity Employer. Reports to: Superintendent General Duties: Demonstrate knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, in including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing, appliance and mechanical maintenance. Fulfill work orders in maintaining the exterior and all common areas of the property (Lighting, walkways, fitness centers, storage, parking, landscaping, etc.) Prepare units for move-in, including but not limited to, punch-out lists, painting, cleaning and any other necessary work. Must be willing to work after hours and respond to emergency calls. Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude to residents, potential residents and vendors. Respond to resident’s requests in a prompt and courteous manner. Understand and work within the guidelines of all federal and state laws regarding Fair Housing and multi-family housing; OSHA, Workers Compensation, and Federal Wage and Hour Act. Requirements/Skills: Ability to use power tools, hand tools and other necessary equipment. Ability to work independently and possess willingness to learn Superb customer service and effective oral skills, along with a positive and professional attitude. Ability to read, write and speak sufficiently to process and discuss work orders correctly. Ability to use a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, step ladder, shovel, snow blower and leaf blower. Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day (to perform the following physical activities: bending, climbing step ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, grasping, gripping, turning, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs, stooping and squat kneel. Maintain accurate maintenance files and a well-organized work space.
