An Experiential Exploration of Yoga Nidra
Offered by Heather and Kristian at Yoga Studio Satya
During this 4-hour workshop, you will gain a basic understanding of the different elements of a Yoga Nidra practice from the ground up, as developed and introduced to the modern era by Swami Satyananda Saraswati in the early 1960s. We will also explore the teachings and methods of Yogi Amrit Desai and Joseph Le Page.
If you are:
Actively practicing Yoga Nidra and interested in deepening your personal practice
New to Yoga Nidra and curious about how it works and can benefit you
Learning about Yoga Nidra as you are reading this description
Then this workshop is for you!
Regardless of your experience, we hope to share these teachings in a way that offers expanded perspectives on the practice of Yoga Nidra with the intention of guiding you to transform your personal practice into an unfolding field of new possibilities. You’re invited to explore your multi-dimensional being from a place of deep restoration and healing, which is the essence of Yoga Nidra.
Regularly practicing Yoga Nidra:
Improves physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
Increases concentration and learning capacity
Enhances interoception (the internal awareness of the body)
Reprograms the subconscious mind
Aids in the differentiation between the true Self and the limited personality
Supports the exploration of each dimension of being
And so much more!
You’ll learn how the practice of Yoga Nidra has evolved over time, the power of a Sankalpa and how to create one, the importance of movement before entering into rest, how the 5 Koshas act as doorways to a deeper exploration of Self, a full practice to seal it all in, and time dedicated to your processing and integration after the experience.
