The Central Louisiana Community Advisory and Action Team (CAAT) CPR Team is headed to Avoyelles! The team is hosting a community CPR event in Mansura Louisiana, focusing on teaching parents, siblings, and grandparents how to perform hands-only CPR on infants and children, in efforts to better protect the children in our communities. This event is being conducted by volunteers throughout the CenLA community, including certified CPR instructors, nurses, pediatricians, EMS personnel, nursing college students and professors, parent educators, a managed care organization, and more. We plan to provide education and hands-on learning to registered participants during the event from 9 AM-12 PM on Saturday, February 25 at the LSU AgCenter in Mansura, and will also be offering car seat safety checks and installations to those who need it, performed by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
