Known for a lively blending of pop and country into lyrically clever singles, Old Dominion is a five-man band from Nashville, Tenn. Formed in 2014, the band released its first EP that same year, and a single from that record, Break Up With Him, rose to No. 1 in US Country Airplay. Old Dominion's current album, Happy Endings on RCA Nashville, peaked at No. 1 on the US country charts, and its third album is due out in October 2019. The ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year in 2018 has opened for Alabama, Jake Owen, Chase Rice, Kenny Chesney and Thomas Rhett. Old Dominion was first formed to showcase the members' songwriting. Lead singer Matthew Ramsey penned hits for The Band Perry, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney. Lead guitarist Brad Tursi wrote Luke Bryan's Light it Up and Tyler Farr's A Guy Walks Into a Bar in addition to songs for Kenny Chesney, Michael Ray, Josh Turner, Ryan Hurd, Brandon Lay and the ABC show Nashville. Multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen wrote for Kelsea Ballerini, William Michael Morgan, Chris Young and Blake Shelton among others. These three men joined bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers to release a self-titled EP, produced by Shane McAnally, in October 2014. Old Dominion released its first gold album, Meat and Candy, on November 6, 2015. The band was named ACM New Vocal Group of the Year in 2016 and has six No. 1 singles to date. Old Dominion's Happy Endings World Tour in 2018 was joined by Michael Ray, Granger Smith and High Valley. The 2019 Make It Sweet tour will hit more than 80 cities in the US and Europe.
