Guitarist/Bassist Seeking

I'm a somewhat recent transplant to the Portland area looking to network with some local musicians. I am primarily a guitarist (rhythm or lead OK) though am also a reasonably competent bassist. I also dabble with drums and keys if you are desperate and/or need a laugh. My influences are primarily prog rock artists (e.g. Dream Theater, Nick Johnston, Plini) mixed with more straightforward rock/hard rock (e.g. Van Halen, Foo Fighters, QotSA). My music intake is extremely varied (some jazz, a bit of EDM, a touch of J-rock) though and I'm down to play almost anything. At this point I'm primarily looking for people to jam with to get more experience playing with others and meet some musicians in the area. I am mostly a bedroom player that does some self-recording (which I can send on request) and am looking to eventually branch out to starting/joining a band. While I'd be fine joining something soon, I don't have any gigging experience and would be reluctant to commit to anything with the expectation that we'd gig ASAP. For now I'm mostly looking to make some music with people in the area and hopefully build up some more practical playing experience and some connections in the area in the process. And if jamming leads to starting something more serious? Fantastic. Few other small notes: - I am currently on travel but should be back in town late next week and available for most of the near future - I could maybe make jamming at my home work OK for a small group of people - No drugs please.
