Saturday, January 21, 2023 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Instructor: Robert Bowden What is the most productive vegetable to grow? Which vegetables produce the most? How do you maximize vegetable garden production? What is the fastest growing garden vegetable? These and other questions about highly productive vegetable gardens will be answered by Robert Bowden, author of the book Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening. Everyone will leave with a packet of vegetable or herb seeds. This is a very popular class and the number of participants is limited so be sure to sign up early. Robert Bowden recently retired as Executive Director of Leu Gardens after nearly three decades. Earlier he was the Executive Director of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Director of Horticulture of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. He is the author of many books including: Florida Fruit & Vegetable Gardening: Plant, Grow, and Harvest the Best Edibles. He also teaches several horticulture classes at Valencia State College. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
