You are competing with others for these positions, and only those that can follow instructions will be called for an interview. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sales Staff required 4 T-shirt vendor @ Fan Expo New Orleans Comic Convention (New Orleans Ernest Morial Convention Ctr), January 6 to 8, 2023. ----------- I am looking to hire another 2-4 more people to assist our staff with the set-up and operation of our booth at the FanExpo New Orleans Comic Convention during the dates of Friday, January 6th to Sunday, January 8th, 2023. If you are looking to earn extra income for a family vacation, school debt, or you are just a huge fan and would like to work in this fast-paced environment please follow the instructions below. The Comic-Con will be held at the LOCATION New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center 900 Convention Center Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70130 SHOW HOURS Thursday, January 5 -- Set-up Friday, January 6 -- 3 pm - 8 pm Saturday, January 7 -- 10 am - 7 pm Sunday, January 8 -- 10 am - 5 pm + breakdown (finish approx 11 pm) **VIP's get onto the show floor 30 Minutes before regular attendees on Saturday & Sunday!** The new hires will assist with sales, the set-up, and the breakdown of our booth. Experience in sales is preferred, and if you have it, state that experience in the cover e.mail. We require staff with the gift of gab and I will expect you to prove it during our interview. Any applicant must be... -self-motivated, friendly, with a good mix of people skills -must have the ability to think on their feet with effective communication skills. -simple math is required without the aid of a cellphone calculator (no cells on the sales floor). The applicant will be required to assist customers, keep their station clean and orderly, assist co-workers and help with loss prevention, etc. The job description includes any other task required to run a successful booth within the convention. The pay is $11 to $13 cash per hour. I reward hard work, employees who exceed our expectations are paid more than weaker employees. Everyone is required to work the entire weekend, including breakdown. We will be working Sunday to approximately 10:30 to 11 pm. Other benefits include 40% off any merchandise you wish to purchase on Sunday. We ask that you pack a lunch, snacks & water, but a set time to eat will be determined by the crowd. Dress code= A pair of comfortable shoes and appropriate attire (shirt/golf shirt and long pants). All new hires will be instructed by e.mail on time, set-up, etc. Any successful hire will be given the first choice of working with our team at all upcoming New Orleans area conventions.
