Residential general contractor company looking for a project assistant. Project assistant will assist lead carpenters in daily tasks in two ways - material delivery/inventory and small scale manual labor on the job. Assistant is often responsible for pick up and delivery of material for jobs. Assistant must also keep an electronic inventory of material and therefore have basic app skills (our CRM - Buildertrend, googledocs, googlesheets). Assistant will also assist in small scale manual labor on the job site including: small scale demo work, shoe molding, insulating, small sheetrock patches, pier preparation, etc. Entry level carpenter skills and own personal hand tools a plus. Ideal candidates boasts a positive can-do attitude, is organized, is capable of manual labor including lifting and second story climbing, is a team player, but can keep busy alone, and enjoys driving. Basic knowledge of carpentry materials and skills a plus, but not necessary if willingness and curve to learn is high. We are a small, family-run company who value hard work but equally value family and time off. We work a 38 hour work week, promptly starting at 7a til 3:30 daily, but ending at 1p on Fridays. Hours negotiable and a reduced hour full time schedule possible. We offer a company vehicle and gas, holiday, vacation, and retirement benefits. Pay negotiable.
