Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, Inc is looking for a Leader who can communicate effectively with all managers in the company, take initiative in improving processes and demonstrate the ownership to take our logistics and warehouse team to the next level. The incumbent must be career oriented and motivated to accept daily challenges in logistics and supply. Requirements: • Associates or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred but not required. Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. • Preferred CDL but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age. • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. • Must establish a desirable work environment and demonstrate emotional intelligence even on bad days. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment; high energy, self-motivated, self-directed, and able to focus on multiple tasks and activities simultaneously. • Ability to: o Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Construction Foreman regularly o Work independently and as a member of a team. • Must be able to manage tool distribution and accountability throughout the company. • Commitment to good ethical business practices; portray professionalism in business atmosphere. • Must have the ability to assess warehouse processes, identify improvements where needed, create a plan for improvement, communicate the plan with stakeholders, execute the plan, and establish a standard. • Computer literacy (intermediate level-Microsoft Work, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, email). • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Lead, manage, and train a team of 2-3 truck drivers. • Build a culture of Safety in the Warehouse and on the road. • Ensures that all new higher are road tested, forklift certified, and safety cautious. • Communicate with higher management labor, equipment and tool needs for the warehouse and logistics team. • Oversee and communicate the receiving, unloading, marking and distribution of Construction Materials using Hyde- Stone’s system. • Improve the Current “returns” system to meet the Logistical Industry Standards (digital, record keeping, etc.) • Ensure both major end items and expendable items are accounted for while in the warehouse. • Create a schedule and conduct cyclic inventories on tools in the warehouse and in the field. • Direct Truck Driving team to different job sites in a logical and safe manner. • Oversee and monitor the maintenance of all shop vehicles. • Communicate with Project Managers and Field Leaders consistently for material needs and distribution. • Continue to build collaborative relationships with Hyde-Stone’s customers and partners. • Oversee and ensure items sent by UPS, FEDEX, or USPS are collected, and Project Managers are informed of material arrival. • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and practicality of all areas of the warehouse.
