Our ideal candidate will: ● Commit to the Vanguard Wines team and contribute to reaching shared goals ● Take ownership and accountability for their actions and work toward influencing positive outcomes ● Work with a sense of urgency to maintain reliability, prioritize quality, and deliver to plan ● Remain curious because there is always something new to learn ● Live the Vanguard Wines mission: connect the right wine to the right person Duties and Responsibilities for Warehouse Associate include: ● Picking and packing orders for in-state customers, as well as transfer orders to our satellite warehouses ● Maintaining the Ohio warehouse and inventory ● Processing return of inventory ● Following all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to manager ● Arriving to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled ● Meeting agreed-upon goals and objectives effectively and on time ● The ability to use a manual pallet jack (forklift experience/certification is a plus) ● Occasionally operating company-owned vans to facilitate delivery operations ● Providing a high level of customer service during delivery operations ● Working with warehouse team members to acquire pre-planned route, communicate delays, and potential problems as they arise ● Assisting delivery team with picking operations before their routes depart for the day ● Communicate with sales representatives as needed when on route ● All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: ● High School Diploma/GED ● Ability to operate and safely maintain equipment ● Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening ● Ability to pass a criminal and credit background check ● Valid Driver's License, with an insurable driving history WHAT WE OFFER ● Competitive hourly salary ● Employer-paid short- and long-term disability insurance ● Discount on personal wine orders ● Team-oriented and supportive culture ● Opportunity to work in an exciting industry WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions and daily interaction with cross-functional teammates throughout our three-state territory.
