“ best practice is a gig”
I can handle your lead (and rhythm) electric (and/or acoustic) guitar duties, also bass, mandolin, blues harp, and yes, some lead and harmony vocals. Can toss into the collective ring some help with basic, or better, let’s say creative arrangements. With a quirky old-school stage persona, years of part-time experience, some full-time, pro gear thrown in for good measure, I know how to do the work but help keep it all fun, interesting, and focused.
How about some Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Rock, maybe a few slices of Country funk too if it’s not too tacky? Actually any genre works with me if done well and performed with a creative touch.
Whatever music gets people up and having fun always works best.
Hopefully your Band or project has a positive audience friendly orientation. “Standards” from any era(s) work of course but strict note-for-note ditto diet of mainly “Oldies" just isn't that interesting. Familiar covers, some side-B’s, lesser known gems all done in an interesting way? Great. Add a smattering of original grooves or tunes thrown in for good measure? That can create entertainment people enjoy, remember, and come back for more.
Current Band is winding down so it’s time to move on to something new. Successfully retired and very reliable so I have the input and energy to help keep things rolling forward.
Not interested in a weekend activity or hobby Band.
Again “ best practice is a gig”
