The Yard Hand will report to the Director of Operations at KCV Trailer Rentals The Yard Hand is the primary person KCV team will communicate with to manage rentals in/outside of our yard. Since the team works primarily from the office, the Yard Hand would be the eyes and ears in the KCV yard. As units are returned, the yard help would inspect them and make small repairs. The goal of this role is to assist the office team make the rental process as successful as possible. Responsibilities and Duties • Record incoming units and repairs that are necessary prior to next rental. • Communicate changes within the yard to KCV Office Staff. • Unload containers from flat beds using forks on a loader. • Plow yard using loader w/ pusher and pickup truck w/ V-plow. • Assist mechanic/driver when another hand is helpful. Qualifications • High School Education or greater • Friendly demeanor and a positive attitude are a must! • Able to lift 50-100lbs on occasion. • Experience with heavy equipment is a plus • Comfort with technological communication forms, including use of an IPad and Phone. • CDL or Heavy Equipment Training • Small engine repair, hydraulics, painting, welding, etc. are all a plus. • Able to climb ladders and in/out of tall heavy equipment.
