Intro to Traditional Weaving

This two-session course includes a general introduction to weaving as well as practical setup and weaving techniques. Before you leave the first class, you will have received instruction on how to directly warp the rigid heddle loom using the provided peg. In the second session, there will be a review, discussion of additional techniques, and problem-solving as needed, including, but not limited to, managing neat selvedges, selecting the right yarns for specific projects, figuring out the amount of yarn needed, removing the project from the loom, and wet finishing woven fabric.
