About the Instructor: My name is Ben Dendy and I am excited to be one of the instructors at Community Workshop NOLA. I have participated in many woodworking projects since I was a little kid. I would help my dad make things and he taught me how to properly use different wood working tools safely. Since then I have developed my skills by completing my own projects. While woodworking was a hobby for me most of my life, I have almost always worked in the construction industry since graduating college with a degree in construction management. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach people the skills to make beautiful and useful objects out of wood.
