Description

This class is extremely interactive and participation is a large portion of our workshop! This is far more than a hands-on workshop. This is total body workshop where the takeaways are tangible, practical, and specific to the beauty professional as an individual. We are here to instruct you on how to protect your body and advance your physical health to create a more sustainable and PAIN-FREE career. We’ve heard and personally experienced injuries due to repetitive stress from poor posture for hours on end leading to misalignment. We’re here to show you how to create a better version of yourself for a more sustainable and long-lasting career not limited by physical ailments! David and Jenny recognize the void within the beauty industry when it comes to physicality. Their mission is to help all artists and stylists within any facet of the industry manage aches, pains, and weaknesses through carefully crafted movements that target the pain points of beauty professionals. By the end of the class, you will have a stronger mind to body connection, allowing for a healthier, happier, and more productive version of yourself. David has worked in the health and fitness industry for 24 years from coast to coast and specializes in pain management, corrective movement, and exercise. He’ll be teaching attendees how to get more familiar with their bodies and how to be more preemptive in regards to: Recognizing injury potential. On the spot solutions for pain management. Corrective assessment. Total body awareness and expression of all things pertaining and relevant to both postures and positions in our career. Nutritional insight and strategies. In a small portion of the workshop, Jenny demonstrates a shampoo and blowout providing many techniques that she has learned over the last 18 years in her career as a hairdresser. She has made the process more efficient while remaining cognizant of how to minimize body pain during the service. The tools you learn in this workshop can also be applied to any other salon and spa services you offer. We look forward to meeting you! Recommended Attire: Comfortable clothing and footwear.
