A excellent approach to relieve tension and revitalize the body and mind is through our Yin/Restorative practice experience. To discover release and relaxation, we will employ easy motions, joint and neck releases, meditative breath practice, and even the walls.
We will study Yin poses during the first portion of class. Long, meditative holds during Yin yoga encourage our fascial tissue to gradually release "stickiness" while using gravity and few props. Yin offers us the chance to investigate how to use our controlled breathing to enter the parasympathetic nervous system and develop our emotional bodies.
We will investigate more supportive poses for our Restorative Yoga practice in the second part of the class. Similar to our Yin section of class, postures are maintained.
