Description
We adopted 2 Hermit Crabs last spring. In November one died, but the other is still going strong (and is quite big now) so we adopted a new crab to be his friend (because contrary to their name, Hermit Crabs are social creatures.) However we no longer have the space or time to keep up with all their needs, so we're looking to re-home them.
I will only give them to someone who's willing to care for them the correct way. For example, hermit crabs can't use painted shells, the paint is toxic to them. The way that they sell and advertise caring for Hermit Crabs at pet stores/the beach is VERY wrong and is just subjecting them to a quick and painful death. I have everything they need (sand + coconut substrate, exercise wheel, hide, multiple shells of various sizes, temp/humidity gauge, tank heater, 10 gal tank, 20 gal tank, food, etc.) and I will send all their supplies with them of course, but you need to have previous Hermit Crab experience or the willingness to learn in order for me to agree to giving them to you. Asking a $40 rehoming fee to ensure they get that care. (The 20 gal tank alone cost me $75.)
Feel free to message with any questions. Thank you.
