Found a wild deer mouse, rescue wanted

A well meaning friend of mine was working and found a wild deer mouse. He didn’t want to throw it in the snow so he packed it in a warm box and brought it home. I have no interest in keeping a wild animal and would like to find a rescue that deals with wild animals rather than someone try to make it a pet. It has clear eyes, no sneezing, is eating, drinking and using the bathroom. It is not especially defensive which I find to be odd. It’s in a small critter keeper. Thank you!
