Description

Hello me, it's me again. I am that drummer, formerly of a very successful Miami grunge tribute band. I am looking to form some type of 90's rock/ grunge tribute. No classic rock. No country (i like newer stuff that gets the chicks dancing, but all the country bands around here want to do haggard and hank/ jr...). I have probably reached out to/ spoken with/ made friends with most of the able bodied musicians in town, and there is no hiding who I am, or what my goals are. I want to be in a top notch, pro level band- aware of the needs of the band as required by management. Pro look, pro sound, pro production. I have made NUMEROUS contacts with GREAT folks all over town that would like to see something like this come to fruition. Too many bands think the dance floor is the only barometer in gauging how successful they think their band is. I have news for you. Only stupid owners want a packed dance floor. As far as I can recall, you can't fill your gas tank with dancer numbers. Owners who know are looking for SALES. Period. And the "biggest fish in the same little pond" math is drawing the same 40 people to the dance floor to see the same 33 songs a night. So, I want to put this project together, targeting the SPEND demographic, and their musical background. I have two relevant books on the topic to back my claims, and refute naysayers: Upside by Ken Gronbach This is Your Brain on Music by Dan Levitin For those of you wondering, I can't ever seem to put all the potential talents in the same room at the same time. I have jammed with some really talented musicians trying to get this thing off the ground, and met some really cool people that share the vision (RtV, I still have your contact!). Synchronization has always been the fatal flaw. So, if you are a guitarist/ bassist and want to get this off the ground, hit me up. I have plenty of (clear/ quality) videos online showcasing my abilities. Signal back if these statements pique your interest. Trolls will be ignored... maybe. Craig Cook Drums
