On January 16th, 1919 the 18th Amendment of the United States Constitution was ratified and passed into legislation. This Amendment is infamously known for starting the Prohibition era of US History.
The result of Prohibition was a major and permanent shift in American social life. The illicit bars, also referred to as Speakeasies and “juice joints," sprung up all around the country. They ranged from fancy clubs with jazz bands and ballroom dance floors to dingy backrooms, basements and rooms inside apartments. But Yellow King Brews will be hosting a party like no other to celebrate leaving that piece of history behind us.
Come dressed to the nines at 8pm for this special event. Cocktail hour kicks off at 8pm with a live swing band “The Hot Club of Black Rock” Adult Cabaret will begin at 9pm followed by a contest for best dressed for the occasion.
