Dates: January 14th and 21st, [11-1 pm] Ages: 14-18 A workshop for teens seeking to develop a deeper awareness of themselves, and learn how to express that awareness through the production and recording of music. Facilitated by: Bosch Purvis, Music Producer Bosch Purvis is a music producer and opener of creative spaces. With over a decade of experience, he has worked with artists from all genres (Rap, Pop, Folk, Rock etc.), producing thousands of songs. In 2015 he founded Bars Beyond Bars, a music recording program for incarcerated youth in Upstate NY. Through Bars Beyond Bars, Bosch operates multiple music studios in Youth Detention Centers recording and producing music with young people ages 14-21. Claire Bourgeois, Mental Health Counselor Claire Bourgeois (she/her) is currently pursuing her licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor at New York University (NYU). She uses an integrative approach to work with clients- drawing on a Person Centered, Strengths Based approach, with influences from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic modalities. Claire’s background and training is in garden therapy, nature education, holistic wellness, yoga and mindfulness facilitation both in individual classes and retreat settings. She views healing as a multidimensional process that involves addressing all aspects of a person’s experience. This lends a comprehensive and creative perspective to her work with clients.
