Description

Hello, I used to be a professional traveling and touring multi-instrumentalist that’s played at least a few hundred shows but mainly festivals with or supporting artists from all genres including, rock, funk, hip-hop, jazz, blues, reggae, ska, heavy metal, electronic, tribal, and psychedelic music. I also worked on many production crews building and rigging stages and at some point I exclusively did light programming and operating and was in the process of starting a lighting company but unfortunately I lost all of my own equipment I had invested in due to a fire at a venue in was set up in over in Oregon. 2020 was supposed to be the banner year for my musical and production projects. My last legitimate and legally sanctioned event that I produced got promoted on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Ty Burrell in March 2020. After that, my events got moved to the underground scene if not postponed indefinitely. I took part in public online music festivals, but the experience wasn’t the same and the pay sucked. After high school, I attended Lane Community College for Jazz Studies & Saxophone Performance prior to dropping out to hit the road with the big boys in 2015 in Austin, Texas. The first major group I played with was Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars at the Flamingo Cantina for a sold out Doctors Without Borders benefit. Right after that I was invited to join Chronixx & Zincfence Redemption at Alhambra Theatre in Portland, Oregon where I was then picked up by One Dollar Check and played my first festival which then snowballed into the most amazing time of my life where I woke up each day in a new city getting invited to sit in on sets from the other performing groups. I was invited to and attended NAMM in Anaheim, California in 2018 by Joey Allen of Warrant. I am offering lessons for those interested in any or all aspects of music, instrumentation, productions, etc… My strong suit is the saxophone but I can offer lessons on guitar, bass, piano, reed instruments, synthesizers, DJ, music theory, music production, recording, lighting, staging, event production & management, and probably anything else music or concert related you can think of. The only real struggle that I have is on a drum set. I am pretty coordinated but a whole drum set gets the best of me. Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced/professional lesson are available. I would like to start a school if anyone’s willing to help with that. I would love any job that might be available. Thank You, Thomas
