Join Community on Tap (21+ years old please) in the month of January to help sort donated items for Rochester Greenovation Inc.
Rochester Greenovations Inc. promotes waste diversion in the Rochester area through selling of previously owned objects or materials, creative reuse, donating, community education.
They have multiple programs to educate the Rochester community about diverting waste from local landfills. Their Deconstruction Program targets one of the area's largest waste sources, construction and demolition debris, and turns it into an economic and educational opportunity. Their Creative Reuse Program unites local talent with our waste stream to create and innovate with re-purposed materials. Finally, their Community Initiatives Program aims to re-invest in the communities that need it most, benefiting the local economy by creating jobs and beautifying local neighborhoods.
Depending on the amount of volunteers that we have, we will try to tackle two projects: sorting clothing by gender, age appropriate, size, season, etc. and working with building items (sizing and separating the trim to organizing flooring, cabinet doors, hardware, tile, doors etc). Please wear something comfortable.
Location: We will meet at 1199 E Main St. ,Rochester, NY
This month the after party will be TBD - pending restrictions
