I am a middle-aged paraplegic male with a T-3 spinal cord injury looking to hire a live-in PCA (43 hours per 7 days). In this job, you will live rent-free in my 2 bedroom loft apartment and will be in charge of my personal care, helping me get to medical appointments, physical therapy (leg stretching and range of motion), keeping the apartment clean, laundry (I have my own washer and dryer) food shopping and cooking. The job is simple and I am relatively easy going. To be considered for the job, the ideal candidate should: * Be willing to undergo a background, references & criminal check. Because we will be sharing my apartment, I can't afford any drama or surprises. * Own a car with a safe driving record. * Have a strong sense of responsibility, good work ethic & compassion. * Be clean and addiction free. * Not be a party animal. * Posses a positive attitude and a healthy sense of humor. * Be skilled in the kitchen as you will be in charge of grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking for me and yourself. * Make frugal shopping decisions to save $ at the supermarket in light of the current economic inflation. * Have good memory recall and organizational skills to help keep me on track with medical and household supplies, and important appointments.
