Wine and mixed drinks can be ordered separately from the full bar. Located at the Coastland Center Mall next to the Food Court on the south side of the mall (Fleischmann Blvd entrance). Speaker: Dr. Judith Hushon Topic: Waters Rising - Hurricane Ian's Damage Accurately Predicted by the ACUNE Tool Description: The ACUNE (Adaptation of Coastal, Urban and Natural Environments) Tool was developed for Collier County by the University of Florida and FGCU using a $1M NOAA grant. It predicts high, med and low Sea Level Rise impacts together with nuisance flooding and storm surge for 2020, 2030, 2060 and 2100. It proved to be highly accurate in identifying the areas recently most affected by Hurricane Ian. About the Speaker: Dr. Hushon has over 40 years of experience in consulting, research, and management of health and environmental risk assessments for a wide variety of clients in the US and abroad. She has lived in Naples, Florida since 2002 and has been actively supporting the Conservancy of SWFL and the League of Women Voters’ Environmental and Government Committees in establishing environmental policies. From 2004-2010 she chaired the Collier Environmental Advisory Council which reviewed land actions in Collier County and she was responsible for the detailed review of the 2011 Stormwater Management Plan. Since 2017 she has been active promoting the ACUNE model for Sea Level Rise and Storm Surge in Coastal Collier County.
