Last week I bought a beautiful 8 month old male pug from a woman who had posted on here. After buying the dog from this woman, I brought the dog home to unfortunately discover that my female pug didn't get along with him. I felt horrible because this dog was so sweet and loving, but it was clear to me very quickly that my female dog was not going to warm up to him. I would have loved to have kept him and given him a great home, but I didn’t want my female dog to hurt him or keep scaring him. Since this woman seemed very kind and caring, I called her and asked her if she knew of anyone else that had been looking to give this sweet dog a home. She said yes. She said she would come and pick the dog up and take him to the "other buyer" that was interested in him. She said she didn't have any money to give me back what I paid for him until the new buyer paid her. So I REGRETFULLY trusted her to leave her ID with me until she returned with the money I had paid her for this dog. She agreed to this and said she would be back with the money after she made the sale of the dog. Long story short, hours later she claimed she was robbed and that the dog was also taken from her. My heart sunk and I knew instantly that I had just been taken advantage of, and that she never had any intention of finding this sweet dog another home, or returning my money to me. She expected to still get her ID back from me after this. I told her I would give her the ID when she gave me back either the dog, in which I didn’t believe was stolen from her, or give me my money back. I have never heard from her again. Of course it hurts that I never got the money back and was scammed and lied to, but what most upsets me is that I have no idea what has happened to this sweet dog. I hope for this poor dog’s sake that she did find him a good home where he is being taken care of, and I was just scammed out of my money. I could live with that if I knew the dog was safe and being taken care of. I am posting this because I don't want her to be able to do this to anyone else. And I now also have a strong suspicion that the dog may have been stolen before I even bought him, and that this is something this woman does often to make money. Steal dogs and then sells them. So I'm hoping the original owners of this dog will see his pictures and recognize him so we can get him returned to his rightful owners! Or perhaps if someone did buy this dog from this woman on Wednesday December 21st, they may see this and recognize the dog, and realize that through no fault of their own, they bought a stolen dog. If anyone recognizes this ad that she originally had posted for the dog, or recognizes the dog, please email me or report this to the Boone County Ky sheriff's office. I contacted them about this woman and about this incident right after it occurred. But unfortunately they haven’t had any luck in finding out anything about this dog or this woman. Although after searching her name online after this incident, I did find that she has been arrested in Kenton County Ky several times. Which leads me to believe now, even more so, that she is untrustworthy and has done scams like this before. If you do recognize this dog please know that you have done absolutely nothing wrong. I would just appreciate and love to know that this sweet little guy is in a good home now, and that no one is looking for him not knowing he’s been stolen and now sold twice by this woman.
