Looking for a fun and impactful way to volunteer? Join us to learn how to be a part of Detroit's history! The Belle Isle Aquarium is a historic landmark for the City of Detroit, we first opened in 1904 - this year we celebrated our 118th birthday!
Volunteers serve in multiple roles, all vital in keeping this community cornerstone institution open and accessible for all. At this training, you will learn about the different opportunities and how you can be a part of our volunteer team!

Since we are a part of the Michigan State Parks and Recreation system, volunteers must have, or purchase, a recreation passport (issued by Michigan DNR ) in order to access Belle Isle. If this presents a barrier to volunteering, please email [email protected] to discuss potential solutions
