Drummer looking for band and/or jam friends

I'm a drummer looking for people in New Orleans that like deep grooves and blending genres. I want to explore the hi-hat a lot (think Beyond by Daft Punk) and maybe incorporate some world (Illumination by Thievery Corporation) but ultimately I just want to get better, play some gigs and get the crowd grooving! So, if you are willing to expand your sound and be influenced by / collaborate with a different style then let's just jam and see how it goes!
