Bella was an owner surrender because her people were allergic to her kisses. At first, she was devastated and depressed, feeling abandoned and forgotten by her family. But since being with her foster, she has relaxed and settled into her groove of being a cute little pup that looks more alien than pooch. Because her family was allergic to her, Bella spent most of her days alone, and so has learned to occupy herself with her beloved toys. Due to being an only dog and not socialized with other 2 or 4 leggers, she has some resource guarding issues which could be redirected/remedied with some time and training. She is very intelligent and eager to please, especially if you have something yummy in your hand! Bella is a 5-year-old English Bulldog, weighing in at only 27lb. I know right? A micro size for easy handling! She comes spayed, vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Bella is house trained, rides well in a car, walks easy on a leash, and knows some basic commands such as: “sit, stay, heel, place, and free”. She does NOT dig up your yard, does NOT chew your beloved thing, NOR excessively bark. What more could you ask for in a K9 companion! Bella is dog and cat friendly, and loves to run around (in short spurts) while playing chase. She’s also fond of sunbathing on the veranda before her evening meal, strolling beachside, rolling in the grass, snuggling on a chilly night, and napping on the couch in your favorite spot. Just don’t expect her to move when you’re ready to sit down! Bella loves people but can be unpredictable in her behavior, especially if you don’t know how to read her ques. Due to this we recommend a home with older children only, to avoid any issues with the younger kiddos that don’t yet have the necessary wherewithal to interact with the more intricate breeds. Experienced Bulldog people only, please. Bella is not a out-of-the-box easy dog and will require knowledge of the breed to care for appropriately. Home checks are required.
