Description

Hi, I have a job opening for a person who's primary duties will be to clean and assist. No experience is necessary as you can be trained and then execute the job independently. Right now the openings are for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am to 7pm (you will get a 30 minute unpaid break during this time). Other duties will be to help walk-ins find their work, labeling work people made, organizing paper slips by date, calling people to pick up work, loading, unloading and firing kilns (you will be trained). Please be LGBTQ friendly. This would be a great part time gig as someones first job or extra money for someone who just wants something to do on the weekends. There is high potential for regular raises for the right person who does their job well. This job is in a busy pottery making place in Hell's Kitchen. Your primary role would be to come in and reset the space to be beautiful and clean including filling water buckets, mopping the floor, sponging off tables and shelves, moving work out of the way, sponging off tiles, cleaning wheels and buckets. Recycling clay and cutting it up into chunks will be part of your weekly tasks as well as changing paper towels, toilet paper, taking out trash and cutting up new clay for the next class. You will also be answering the phone, and helping any walk-ins who are looking to pick up their work. When classes are in session you can clean and label work from previous classes, modge-podge and glaze works, and load and set kilns. When classes end you will reset the studio once more. If you are interested lets set up a zoom or in person interview.
