Holidays are over, it's cold, and we want our chili! The Annual Chili Cook-Off is a fun time for everyone to enjoy some of the best chili in the River Valley, and of course find out who can usurp the reigning champion of two years in a row! For those who wish to taste the chili but not submit a chili it is $10 in advance, all you can eat or $20 at the door. We do recommend pacing yourself. This year we're doing another free for all, all chili types accepted! Red Chili, White Chili, Green Chili, any kind of meat or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices, beans, non-vegetable fillers such as rice and pastas are ALL allowed. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat. We really want to see everyone's craft and creativity without limitations. Last year it was a huge success that brought attention to the variety of chilis as well as allowed tasters to enjoy a plethora of greatness. There is a $15 entry fee to submit a chili. (Limit of 4 chilis/contestant) Grand Prize - $200, Brewery T-Shirt, 64oz Growler and Fill, and opportunity to have your chili sold at the Brewery as a menu item. Second Prize - $50, 64oz Growler and Fill Third Prize - 64oz Growler and Fill People's Choice - $200 Brewery T-Shirt, 64oz Growler and Fill, and opportunity to have your chili sold at the Brewery as a menu item. You'll be expected to provide at least 5 quarts of chili and have your chili ready at 12 noon, Jan 28th. You may prepare the chili at home or set up early and prepare the chili at the brewery. Doors open at 10am to get set up unless you contact us and need special assistance. Tables with a minimum space of 3' x 3'x will be provided. Extension cords, plates, spoons, and napkins will be provided as well. You will be responsible for the presentation of your overall table and chili. You may bring whatever else you like to "enhance" the experience for the tasters.
