Are you ready to wake up your Magic in 2023? Join us for an intentional gathering of broom and candle making ! This class is perfect for beginners looking to develop their magical practice and seasoned witches looking to dive deeper into their spellcraft. In this workshop you will be provided with all of the tools and skills needed to make your own ritual intention candle and turkey tail broom. Together we'll discuss the history and practice of candle and broom magic, and ways to incorporate both into your rituals. As you arrive, we will have a community altar. We encourage all participants to bring an item for the altar to create connection and community. Beverages and snacks are included and class size is limited to provide an intimate learning environment with hands-on support. Ritual Intention Candle: Welcome the new year by making your very own hand-poured Ritual Intention Candle! In this class, you will be provided with everything you need to make your own ritual intention candle, with thoughtfully curated ingredients and natural elements to make it uniquely your own. The knowledge, experience and tools you’ll gain in this class will both provide you with a basic understanding of candle making and candle magic, as well as support you in having a sacred space to return to for your 2023 intentions. All participants will be provided with the following for their candle-making ritual: 100% soy wax and organic hemp wick A selection of natural candle holders to choose from, to hand-pour your candle A wide selection of high-quality essential oils to choose from for the scent and aroma therapy options for your candle A wide selection of gemstones and organic/wild crafted herbs labeled with their properties to dress and adorn your candle for your intentions A “spell card” and brief lesson on “charging” your candle with your intention and continuing to use it as a sacred, magical place to return to, as you continue to work towards your 2023 intentions. Broom Making: One of the oldest tools used in magical practice, the broom has played an important role in clearing out stagnant energy and protecting the home. In this class you will learn how to make a traditional turkey tail hand broom using broom corn and twine. This class includes step by step, hands-on instructions that will guide you through the process of broom making, with enough materials provided to make 1 turkey-tail broom. All participants will be provided with the following for their broom making ritual: Enough broom corn and twine to make 1 turkey tail broom A wooden foot brake to take home Access to dried flowers and herbs to decorate your broom Additional Details: 1 of the limited spots for the workshop is reserved for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) donation-based (pay what you can) scholarship available to attend the workshop.
