The R.I. music scene is DEAD......
except for the underground metal scene, where there is a healthy DIY network.
The only problem is a lack of clubs that have metal bands.
But the cover scene ?!?!?!?
95% of the cover bands playing out should not be playing anywhere.
The "karaoke queens" and the "second childhood" clowns have taken over.
I don't have to name the bands, just walk into any club that will let them play.
Worst of all, they play for shit money, and bring shit to the table.
Same for the acoustic acts. Even bigger name bands sound like shit.
And it doesnt help that they are a step away from popping a colostomy bag.
Club owners are just as guilty for perpetuating a sad, pathetic club scene.
