***NOTE: Please read the entire post. This is a legit ad looking for actual musicians.*** Looking for some folks to get together once or twice a month and just have fun jamming out. You play the spoons? Cool! You play a homemade bass with only one string? Cool! Upside-down banjo? No problem! All instruments are welcome, and vocalists are welcome, too. All skill levels are welcome as well...if you just bought your first guitar for yourself for Christmas and you don't even know which strings are what yet, come on down! I just ask that if you're experienced/advanced on an instrument, please be laid back, have patience with the less experienced players, and offer advice where you can (remember, you were once in their shoes). The only music on my Spotify playlists are Funk/R&B, Gospel/CCM, and a little hip hop, but I'm open to playing ALL music genres. I just don't want to get boxed into playing ONLY rock, or ONLY country, etc. If it has to be only one genre, then it would be one I actually listen to. I play some bass, a little drums here and there, and some guitar to an even lesser extent. I have a small practice space with a bass amp, guitar amps, nice e-drums, a keyboard, and a small PA for vocals, but I don't mind going elsewhere to jam either. I'm in my forties, so folks in the 30s-50s age are probably optimal, but I'm cool with any age. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, though. I currently play in a worship band and on any given week, we'll have folks ranging in age from 14-60 in the rotation to play in the band that week, so I'm used to playing music with folks of all ages. Like I said, this is just for fun for now, but I wouldn't be opposed to gigging and playing some events sometime down the road if we gel as a band and get tight. Looking forward to hearing from y'all and making some noise in the new year!
