Seeking a Shipping Manager for our Rochester, NY office We are an industrial equipment reseller in business since 2005 and are looking for a candidate whose primary responsibility will be to manage and execute all small parcel shipping and to also place items for sale online when not shipping. We are willing to train the right candidate in both aspects of this job. The candidate will be self driven, work mostly unsupervised and is expected to work 40 hours per week, this is not a part time job. That being said, as long as the candidate does their job, no one will ever be watching over their shoulder and micro managing - that doesn't happen here! Must be 18 or older to apply Please respond with your resume General Job Description: - The desired applicant will work 40 hours per week (7:30 am to 3:30 pm, M-F) and work in an industrial / office setting. Shipping - Primary responsibility will be to collect and ship items that sell each day – this will include the use of standard packaging materials and foam-in-place - Use third party software to ship via FedEx and USPS - Knowledge of domestic and international shipping is desired, but we will train the right applicant eBay Sales - Use cleaners to clean equipment (desired applicant WILL get their hands dirty) - Determine equipment condition - Use a digital camera and computer to edit photos and create eBay ads - Use online research tools to determine item value - Perform online research to determine equipment value - Use a digital camera and take clear, concise pictures - Maintain accurate inventory -- place listed items accurately in inventory General Job Requirements: - Detail and accuracy oriented - Computer, picture editing and internet skills - Written communication skills - Stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time - Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted - Some warehouse work, including operating a fork truck, will be required - Able to work unsupervised and in a team environment - Have reliable transportation - Minimum high school diploma - Prior eBay sales experience a plus but will train the right person - An industrial background is a plus - Applicant must submit to a background check and drug screening - Pay will be commensurate with experience
