Even something like a hamster can cost hundreds of dollars to properly care for not to mention vet bills. If your family wants a pet discuss it first and do your research. Ensure you have the budget and time and know you’ll be able to care for the animal it’s entire life. Go to a rescue before you go to a breeder or pet store.
