We are a musicians collective currently consisting of a guitarist, two drummers and three bass players in various configurations. We are seeking highly skilled improvisors on electric instruments. Lead guitar is filled. We primarily seek keyboards and electric violin, however a guitarist exclusively on guitar synth or horn/woodwind players using a MIDI controller would also be acceptable. This is fusion, but experience with jazz is not required, just highly skilled blues players, progressive rockers, instrumental rock and metal musicians. If you have jazz experience you get an extra point, but only if you can play rock/blues also. The prototype is the Mahavishnu Orchestra, but the sound will be 21 Century based on the collected talents. Finally, we are not asking anyone to quit their current band. Anyone is welcome to audition, but we would really like to recruit from the local professional musicians. Mainly, those guys who can play fusion or jazz, earn a living playing Elton John, Journey, or 80s Dance Pop, and have the occasional itch to stretch out far and wide.
