Hi all, this absolutely breaks my heart but I need to find a new home for my two angels, Oreo and Dove. I kind of accidently fell into owning rats since I rescued Oreo, and honestly I just do not have the bandwidth to give them the proper enrichment and life they absolutely deserve. I really don’t want to, but I think it’s best for them if I find them a home who will cherish them and give them the time they should be given. I never intended on rehoming them, but it’s for the best. They are two young male rats around 6-7 weeks old. Oreo (black and white) was a feeder rat who I rescued and hand raised (😭) and Dove is from the amazing Johnny Wallace (breeder). I introduced them a week ago and they’re still getting used to each other. Oreo is very outgoing once he knows you and Dove is still pretty shy, but they are both so so so sweet. They will come with their cage (20x20x40”) but they absolutely will need a bigger cage eventually however for now it makes a great baby cage or quarantine cage. They also come with everything else I have for them (Mazuri rat blocks, all their hammocks and decor except for the wooden bridges since they’re already falling apart, litter box, bedding, litter, water bottles/bowls, food bowls, toys, etc). I am asking $200 firm to cover the cost of their supplies and to ensure they won’t end up as an unwanted Christmas present (if they’re wanted and you’ve done your research, then have at it 😉). I am located in Erie, CO and they will need to be picked up here since the cage is pretty big. Also, I would love to stay in touch with whoever takes them and get updates since I am super attached and love them to bits.
