Job description Summary: Asbestos/Mold/Lead Abatement & Remediation Company Must have/obtain Asbestos Certification within specified time frame. Must have/obtain OSHA certification Lead Certification a plus Prior construction management a plus Prevailing Wage Available Growth potential Paid training. Tuition assistance available. Company vehicles provided with gas cards. Bilingual a plus Weekend work possible, but rare. Duties: Follow prescribed safety procedures, and complies with federal laws regulating waste disposal Load / Unload materials into containers and or work trailer Bag up debris into double 6 mil bags for disposal Cleaning contaminated equipment and areas for re-use, using detergents, solvents, and/or equipment Application of lockdown coating to exposed areas Recording number of bags/containers to be disposed of Drive company vehicles / pull trailer Use of a Hepa vacuum, drills, grinders, and various other power tools Care and Use of equipment Ability to communicate with foreman / co-workers orally or in writing with clarity and good effect. Use of good judgement regarding the importance of information and what should be communicated to whom, how and when. Customer Service - both internal and external customers. Ability to satisfy expectations and requirements of customers with courtesy, sensitivity and promptly. Sometime handling difficult situations. Dependability - showing up for work on time every day, ready to work. Problem Solving - ability to solve difficult problems effectively. Safety Conscious about your work environment and equipment. Making sure your work area is free of debris and trip/slip hazards. All product / equipment is stored in its proper location. Accurate, daily paperwork as required. Qualifications: You need to have a valid drivers license (chauffer license a plus) Live within 50 miles of Kalamazoo, Michigan Construction/related field experience a plus, but not required. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, use hands, arms, talk, hear, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. You must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Pre-employment physical required, then annually.
