Beginner/Intermediate Bassist looking to jam

Hey! I’m an early 30s guy who messed around and jammed with friends in high school, but abandoned playing bass for about 10 years before picking it back up during the pandemic. When I was younger I didn’t really know what I was doing, but now I meet weekly with my teacher and am learning a lot. I have a very eclectic taste in music: rock, soul, electro pop, disco, indie soul, funk… the list goes on. Pretty open minded, though I’m not sure that I’d have a lot to offer in metal, hard punk or country genres. Musical inspirations right now: L’Imperatrice, RHCP, Parcels, Stevie Wonder, James Jamerson, Vulfpeck, Metronomy, and much much more. I’d love to find folks around my level or higher who I can jam with regularly to get even better! I’m based in Brooklyn, work in Manhattan/hybrid so am flexible. DM if you’re interested!
