“The overarching goal of Wisconsin’s vision for Mathematics is for students to see themselves as confident doers and learners of mathematics, supporting the department’s vision to be college and career ready.” -Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics (p. 8, 2021) In June of 2010, Wisconsin adopted new math standards that were a substantial shift from math standards of the past. Now, just over a decade later, a team of teachers and leaders from Wisconsin have revised and updated the math standards to support and position students as doers of mathematics. 2021 Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics Join us for this one-day workshop and explore what these revisions mean for you and your students, school, and district. Deepen your knowledge of the five shifts (two that are new!) that “serve to guide educators in identifying what is necessary in standards-aligned instruction and assessment.” - Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics (p. 10, 2021) Leave with the tools to begin developing an action plan with priorities to support others in exploring the new standards in the upcoming school year. In the event of a cancellation due to low enrollment full refunds will be issued.* CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made more than 180 days prior to this event will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made between 180 and 30 days of the event will receive a 50% refund minus a 10% processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the event.
