KS Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) and City of Wichita are offering a trout fishing clinic at OJ Watson Park. This FREE event is open to all ages but registration is required and limited. Equipment will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Staff and instructors will first teach you how to use basic fishing equipment and skills to ensure you can fish on your own. Then, we focus on techniques to catch Rainbow Trout! After completing the education portion, you will put your new skills to the task and try catching one! Participants will not need a fishing license or trout permit during this event. However, those that do not have these will be limited to 30 minutes of fishing and cannot harvest any fish they catch. Please provide a valid email address when registering. You will receive an email from David Breth with KDWP confirming your registration and a time slot for your group.
