Of those children,109 were either reunited with their families or found new permanent homes.
Our purpose is to provide well-trained community members appointed by a Juvenile Court judge to represent the best interests of an abused or neglected child.
EFFECTS ON CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE AND NEGLECT:• May affect an individual's physical and mental health directly and indirectly.*
• Can cause lifelong issues, including low self-esteem and depression. It also increases their risk of developing an addiction to drugs or alcohol.*
• Individuals who experience child abuse and neglect are more likely to be involved in Juvenile Delinquency or Criminal Court System later in life.*
